Wednesday, 14^th February marked the first day of the season of Lent. 

This Lent, we will be raising money for CAFOD and Catholic Children’s Society. This year’s appeal is inspired by Pope Francis’ call for young people to use their voice to make a difference in the world. Every penny raised by your school will support our work with local disadvantaged children and families.

During Lent, it is important to do something for others rather than just give something up. It would be wonderful if you could take some time to talk to your child about what ‘actions’ they could do to help others.

Fundraising - Make Your Voices Heard

On the last day of half term, your child will have come home with a calendar to use during Lent, to fill it with ‘actions’ they can do to make a difference during Lent. It would be great if you could try to look at this daily with your child to reflect on this very important season.

We are asking children to get sponsored for taking part in completing actions linked to giving, fasting and praying. Any money raised or donated can be made through the ‘Lent 2024’ link on SCOPAY throughout the season of Lent.

You may decide to sponsor your child for each action they complete or make a one-off donation on SCOPAY. A family suggestion is £5.

Any other donations through the link would also be greatly appreciated. At the end of Lent, we will share with you how much money has been raised.
