In History, Year 2 are learning about the lives of Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole and Edith Cavell and to enhance the children’s learning of this topic, they had a Nurturing Nurses Day.

To keep in character for the day, the children came to school dressed as a nurse or soldier from the past.

On the day, ‘Florence Nightingale’ from the Freshwater Theatre Company visited the children. This was a wonderful experience for the children, where they travelled back in time with Florence Nightingale and learnt about her life from when she was a little girl.
