Clubs

Autumn Term 2024
Please find attached below the schedule for clubs starting in the Autumn Term.

We have tried to keep things as much the same as possible, but changes to staffing and increased capacity in the after-school club mean it has not been possible in every instance, so please do check this carefully.

Please note – There will be no After-School Extra-Curricular clubs offered to Reception children during their first term at St Anne’s to allow them to settle into school life. More clubs will be opened to them in the Spring and Summer terms.

There will be no Cross Country in Autumn Term, this will return in Spring if we have enough interest.

The lunchtime activities will now be available as a turn-up & play, there is no need to book. The PE coach will be available throughout lunchtime to supervise and help facilitate active play, focusing on the year groups mentioned each day. The hope is to make it more inclusive, giving the children some say in what they play and to give all children an opportunity to get involved with games at lunchtime throughout the week.

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Selley’s Football Club will continue next year, offering training sessions for the following groups:

Year 6 Boys, Year 5 Boys & Years 3-6 Girls

The club will be free of charge. This initiative aims to provide an opportunity for students who may represent the school in football fixtures to train together, building skills and team cohesion.

Trials for the club will be conducted in the second week of school on the following dates:

Year 6 Boys – 10th September

Year 5 Boys – 9th September

Years 3-6 Girls – 11th September

(Please note, that priority of places on the girl’s football team will be given to those in year 6 to ensure all girls have the opportunity to represent our school, if they so wish).

Results will be shared shortly thereafter. Those not selected will be invited to attend training, subject to the number of available places.

Prompt Collection

If you do agree to sign up to a club, prompt collection is a must!

Late collection – We cannot facilitate late collections as the staff are already giving up their free time to run these clubs and will finish as soon as the club ends. This means there is nobody on hand to wait with the children. If children are still waiting for collection more than 5 mins after the advertised club finish time they will be placed into after-school club and the cost of the session will be charged at a flat rate of £14.60.

Likewise, we cannot facilitate early collection from extracurricular clubs. We operate on a skeleton staff after 3:15pm and the children’s safety is our top priority. An early collection would leave either the child being collected or the children remaining in the club unattended, which is not possible.

If you do have any questions, please do let us know.

For lunchtime clubs, children can remain in their school uniform.  Children are allowed to change into trainers, if preferred.  For all other clubs, children must wear their full PE kit unless informed otherwise.  For football clubs, children must wear shinpads.

If you require financial support to enable your child to attend, please contact our Home School Link Worker, Mrs N Burke: hslw@stannes-chertsey.surrey.sch.uk
